Changing Lives Through Learning

Our Team

Executive Director: Comfort Johnson

Inspired by the hard fought success of her 4 children—John, Bassanio, Abraham, and Neressa—Ms. Johnson founded JBAN Education to give back to her community by providing the support needed for youths to overcome their current circumstances and rise to their potential

A word from our Founder:

I am very excited about this opportunity. I was the last of five children. My parents separated when I was five years old, and my mother felt as though her only option was to place my three older siblings and me on a boarding school. Unfortunately, she became uninvolved in our lives. We truly felt like orphans, and it was the older youths on campus who ended up caring for us and our well-being.

Our financial instability created different paths and outcomes for me and my siblings – my oldest brother graduated and moved on, my older sister got a scholarship which helped her finish her education, and my older brother and I had no financial means to continue our education. My older brother decided to just move to a different county where no friends or family to find means to get an education. It was at the age of ten that all of these things had happened, and I was by myself.
